I wish there were a way to select more than one answer. Both for this poll and the last, I found my preference to be a mix of two answers--in this case building a nicely detailed kit and kit-bashing. I've never done any scratchbuilding but think I'd like to give it a go at some point.

Depending on the situation / availibility of a particular model, often the choice is a combination of all four options listed in the poll.

Hard-core Rdg modelling all but REQUIRES a serious scratch-batching, especially steam era rolling stock and structures...
